With the collaborative efforts with Ngororero District, Umuhuza was able to impact the lives of over 7,100 beneficiaries in Matyazo and Kageyo sectors through direct support, public works, minimum package for graduation and the Girinka program activities across all 26 villages in Matyazo and 27 villages in Kageyo sector. This was a very huge achievements and has resulted in improved living conditions of the target beneficiaries ; with some of those targeted moving along the ladder of poverty to achieve better lives. They are now no longer categorized as poor or extreme poor.
