In June 2022, UMUHUZA Organisation under the support of Bank of Kigali launched a six-month project, “Wiceceka”
aimed to break the culture of silence on gender-based violence and support victims of GBV in Ruhango district. Implemented in 3 sectors of the district (Kinazi, Ruhango and Ntongwe), the project benefited 180 teen mothers to
resume their studies and start income generating activities as part of socio-economic reintegration.
