From August 19 to 21, Umuhuza Organisation joined other partners in Early Childhood Development (ECD) in a three-day conference organised by National Child Development Agency under the theme, ‘Nurturing Tomorrow:Advancing Sustainable Early Childhood Development.’
During the conference, Umuhuza showcased ECD home grown solutions including production of teaching and learning materials made by local available materials (toys and books) and shared its contribution on how to strengthen integrated and inclusive ECD services for children 0-3 in the country.
Some of the organisation’s practices include organising parenting sessions in the community to educate male and female parents on positive parenting, teaching them how to make toys using locally available materials, producing teaching and learning materials/guides and conducting home visits.
